He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 1989 and first served as Chairman of the Board in 2007. He graduated with a B.A from Union College and earned a J.D. from the New York University School of Law. Mr. Rinear resides in St. James with his wife, Erica, and has two grown daughters, Ashley and Whitney, and a granddaughter, Riley. Gary Barello Treasurer Gary Barello is Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Development for Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2005. Mr. Barello holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Hispanic literature and language from Stony Brook University, as well as attended St. John’s University School of Law in Queens, NY. Stephen Cohen Stephen Cohen is President of Hoenigmann and Cohen CPA’s P.C. He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2001. Having graduated from the CW Post School of Professional Accountancy, Mr. Cohen is a member of both the AICPA and NYS CPA society. He resides in Dix Hills with his wife, Patti, and has two grown children, David and Elizabeth. James Conboy James Conboy is the Senior Vice President – Internal Audit/SOX Compliance for AMC Networks Inc. as well as a partner in the ownership of Twin Park Fitness Center in New Hyde Park, NY. He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors in 2007. Mr. Conboy graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY with a BS in Accounting in 1986. He resides in Floral Park. Andrew Corrado Andrew F. Corrado is Capital One Bank’s Market President for Nassau County, New York and also serves as Senior Vice President for Private Banking, heading Capital One’s Long Island Private Banking team. He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2001. Mr. Corrado earned a BSBA in Marketing from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island in 1987. He earned his MBA in Marketing Management in 1992 from Hofstra University’s Zarb School of Business. He resides in East Islip with his wife and two children. Kathleen Courtney Kathleen Courtney recently ended her five-year tenure period as the Chairwoman of the Riverhead Industrial Development Agency and formerly led the office of Regional Grants Services at Eastern Suffolk BOCES where she supervised a $38 million budget representing federal, State, corporate and member-item funding. She joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2011. Mrs. Courtney is a recent retiree who resides in Aquebogue.Steve Goodman Steve Goodman is founder of SHG Financial Group and is a CPA who was Vice President of the Trust and Division of JP Morgan Chase and a supervisor for KPMG Peat Marwick. He holds an MBA from Fordham University. Mr. Goodman joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2007. Dan Greenburg Secretary After selling one of the ‘500 Fastest Growing Companies in the United States’, according to Inc. 500, in 2002, Dan Greenburg is currently a semi-retired consultant helping businesses get to the next level. Mr. Greenburg joined the Big Brothers Big Sister Board of Directors in 2006. He graduated from Lehigh University and earned a law degree in 1974. Mr. Greenburg resides in Merrick.Scott Horowitz Scott Horowitz is the President of Shoreline Insurance Agency and President of the Shinnecock Marlin and Tuna Club. Mr. Horowitz joined the Board of Directors in 2008. He earned his B.A from Southampton College and is also a graduate of the Suffolk County Police Academy. Mr. Horowitz resides in East Quogue with his wife Pamela and their children Ryan and Brittany, and his Springer Maverick.James Metzger Gerard O'Connor Michael Paley Jeffrey Schwartzberg 1st Vice President Jeff Schwartzberg is Senior Director of Colliers International. He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors in 2003. Mr. Schwartzberg holds an MBA in Financial Management from Iona College and a Bachelors degree from Queens College. He now serves as the Village Mayor of the Village of Roslyn Estates, where he lives with his wife, two sons and Dachshund Puma. Mark S. Sidoti, Esq. 2nd Vice President Mark Sidoti is Equity Director at Gibbons P.C., is a full service law firm of 230 attorneys based in Newark, NJ and ranked in the top 200 law firms nationwide. He joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2007. Mr.Sidoti and his wife Pam live in Greenlawn, NY with their four children, Nicholas and Luke (14), Steven (6) and Isabella (3).Joy M. Watson, Esq. On May 7, 2010, Joy was named Deputy Comptroller, in charge of Audits and Special Projects, to Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos. Ms. Watson joined the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island Board of Directors in 2007. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and her bachelor of arts degree from the University at Albany. She is admitted to practice in the federal and state courts of the State of New York and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Watson is a 22-year resident of the Village of Hempstead where she resides with her husband Tom Mancusi and her stepsons Roger and Nick.E. David Woycik, Jr., Esq. Mr. Woycik received both his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 and Juris Doctorate degree in 1980 from Hofstra University. Mr. Woycik is married to Carolyn Sanchez from Los Angeles and they reside in Garden City, New York. |
