Furniture Donation

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island does accept donations of furniture. In order to be accepted as a donation, the pieces must be in good condition with no scratches, no stains, and no tears or rips in fabric.

Donation Details:
PLEASE NOTE that your furniture pickup may be scheduled up to two weeks later than when you called. This waiting period may need to be adjusted depending on scheduling/needs of the Donation Center.

We DO NOT accept the following:
-Cribs, car seats, playpens, walkers, high chairs
-Sofa beds, futons, mattresses, box springs
-Large appliances such as: Washing machines, clothes dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners, dishwashers and Stoves
-Miscellaneous items such as: pool tables, swing sets, ping-pong tables, building supplies, wheel chairs, commodes, hospital beds

On the day of the pickup: All furniture must be left outside, drivers will NOT enter the residence to bring items to the truck. In case of inclement weather, please cover the furniture items being donated.
