What Do I Get From Being a Big Brother?

Recently I was asked what do you get from being a big brother? The answer is multifold and relatively easy. You get the warm feeling of helping a young person who needs you. You get to see the smiles of delight when do something fun together. You get a warm glow when the child's mom or guardian tells you how much your little brother looks forward to your outings and how he looks to you as a role model. You get to encourage and to teach lessons about life and morality. You get to be supportive, loving and caring. By making a difference for a child you get the ultimate reward of feeling good about yourself as a human being.
